Hi, my
name is Jenny J We all know that age is just a number. But
some numbers have more baggage than others. Fifty is one of
those ages. Fifty. 50. The Big Five Oh. A half a
century. Yikes!! And in November, I would be fifty. So,
okay. You’re only as old as you feel, right? The problem
was, I felt every one of those fifty years. In the past yr.
I’d packed on the pounds, ballooned from a size 12 to 22. My
joints were in revolt, ankles, knees, hips, shoulders all
complained continually. I started with my diet. In one week
my head was clearer, my mood was upbeat, and I knew I was on
the right track. The next step was exercise and I found
myself at Anytime Fitness. I made the commitment to a
healthy life by setting the goal of 50 pounds by my
birthday. Trainer Tanya and Ari helped me get going and the
first few weeks I was taking Aleve every night. Then, one
day, I realized that I didn’t hurt anymore. I felt strong,
happy and my muscles were getting toned. My mantra that I
repeat to myself as I exercise is; ‘I am slender, strong,
healthy, sexy, beautiful!’ The moment of truth on my
Birthday... I'd lost 59 pounds!! Better health, more
happiness and I feel fantastic! I embrace another 50 yrs of
fun and active adventure. YAHOO!!!

I used to hurt all the time, nothing in my life was working, I was always tired. I was ashamed of the way I looked. So with nothing to lose, I joined the gym and got a trainer. Little did I know that I would change my life forever. It has been 1 ½ years and I have lost over 150 pounds and 12 pant sizes. When I first started I needed inspiration from others, but now I find it within myself. My goal is to be the best I can be. Thanks to Anytime Fitness and my trainer, Tanya Dadoas. Go Amy!!

“I am a better version of myself!"
It’s been almost a year since January and Stephen joined Anytime Fitness Ashland. January had back surgery 10 years ago and stopped exercising and riding her bike. She says, “this is the only thing that has worked for me- I belong here”. Not only is it convenient for January and Stephen to have access to the Club 24 hours a day but the equipment is great, it is always clean and other people are friendly. January recommends the Anytime Fitness Ashland to others because of the inspiration of seeing how hard members work and it keeps her going. She says, “I have created a new health care policy for myself; I am a better version of myself”. Her “big day” is September 16 and represents a one year milestone of achievement, weight loss and the renewed enjoyment of biking and regular exercise.
Stephen joined Anytime Fitness Ashland because he likes to work outside in the garden without soreness the next day. Anytime Fitness Ashland is close and convenient but he likes the friendly atmosphere. He says that people are task oriented about exercise but friendly and they show him new exercises. Stephen clearly enjoys the social aspects and others enjoy seeing him in the gym. He finds the self-discipline and motivation to come to the gym and some months he doesn’t miss a day. January and Stephen are among the many members of Anytime Fitness Ashland who are enjoying the benefits of being fit. Anytime Fitness Ashland members have a “key fob” that allows electronic entry any time of the day or night.
