Conference. Fast-Growing Fitness Franchise Celebrates with Hundreds of
Franchisees
Las Vegas, Nevada - September 9,
2006. Anytime Fitness concluded its second annual conference on September
9th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The conference, which was held in
conjunction with the IHRSA Club Business Entrepreneur Conference and the
National Fitness Trade Show, was an opportunity to celebrate a year of
triple-digit growth for the fitness franchise. More than 300 guests attended
at the gathering.
Franchisees were welcomed to the
Anytime Fitness VIP Hospitality Suite, where they could meet with corporate
representatives and preferred vendors. "Because the IHRSA show had a full
schedule of seminars, we didn't plan any formal training or meetings," said
Jeff Klinger, Anytime Fitness founder and CEO. "Instead, we kept the
atmosphere casual and personal. The allowed us to interact one-on-one with
many of our new franchisees."
A contributing factor to the
record-setting sales in March is a multi-site franchise agreement with
American Health, Incorporated. An investment group based in North Carolina,
American Health has agreed to open 40 stores in that state over the next 3
years.
The vendor in attendance were
also available to meet with franchisees on an individual basis. Among those
with products on display in the VIP Suite were the three main Anytime
Fitness sponsors- Life Fitness, Precor and Nautilus.
The highlight of the conference
was the Awards Ceremony and Dinner Reception on Friday evening. It was a fun
and inspiring event. The keynote speaker was Michael Levy, IRHSA Chairman of
the Board. Jeff Thames, Anytime Fitness President of Franchise Sales, also
addressed the gathering of franchisees.
The Award Ceremony honored the
achievements of various attendees. Anytime Fitness invited three club
members to the ceremony to honor their success. In just six months, Ken
Tencati, of Clinton, Massachusetts, lost 141 pounds. Michelle Foster, from
Villa Rica, Georgia, lost 106 pounds, and Kelsi Gamble, of Kuna, Idaho,
experienced an 85 pound weight-loss. Each member thanked Anytime Fitness
thanked Anytime Fitness and described their membership as life changing.
The franchisees that received
honors included Community Outreach Award winners Lindsay Meyer, of New
Braunfels and Sequin, Texas, and Allen Little, of Villa Rica, Georgia. Sales
Team of the Year went to Tod Handeberg and Tyler Dart from Moses Lake,
Washington. The Honorable Mention Club Operator of the Year went to the team
of John and Colin Reilly of Covington and Mandeville, Louisiana. Precor was
also honored with a Supplier of Excellence Award based on a review from the
Anytime Fitness franchisees.
As an annual event, Anytime
Fitness will host another conference next year. As plans are made final,
location and dates will be announced.
