A few years ago, my wife and I were living what we thought was the ideal life. I had a challenging job with a great company, and was enjoying the thrill of climbing the corporate ladder, which enabled my wife to stay at home and school our four young kids. We had a new home and new cars, and were comfortable with our success except for one thing; we had almost no time together. We considered ourselves blessed, but we realized that we were missing out on some of the most important things in life.

Because of that, my wife and I began looking for a way to spend more time together. For almost a year we had been pondering possibilities, including starting a business of our own. One day we realized that there was not a nice, clean, gym in our community. Although we had been members of a few gyms before, we had never worked at one and knew nothing about the industry. Later that week, we happened across the Anytime Fitness website and were intrigued by the concept. What interested us the most was the freedom to run our own business without being forced to be there all the time.

Just a few months later, we opened the doors of our first Anytime Fitness. A few more months later, I left my corporate job and we were able to realize the dream of simply spending more time together. The unexpected surprise was that rather than just getting by, we are now making more than twice what we made before while having to work only a few hours per week!

The change to our lifestyle has been so dramatic, that it is hard to believe it has happened so quickly. As with any business there have been some long hours and challenges along the way, but owning our own Anytime Fitness has allowed us to attain a quality of life that is even better than we had hoped for. My dad has even commented that I’m now a different person, more relaxed and happier than when I was “succeeding” in the corporate world. Whether it is a month long vacation in the summer or going hunting with my dad in the middle of the week, we now have more freedom to live life to its fullest! Thank you Anytime Fitness!!!
